help install kicker box that has twelve 12inch legacy 500 watt speakers in

it whats needed to run? can I use one amp or how many amps should I use and how many watts will I need the box is 3000 watts RMS and 6000 watts continuous should I get a new or Performance alternator thanks
Just basiclly want to know if it would sound ok using smaller amp or amps
