Help! How do I deal with a kicker/striker?

Okay, here's the story... I got a 7yr old stallion from a dealer 2 days ago. He is a lipizzan which is awesome but he is totally unhandled and has had no training. I have tried to gain his trust for the last two days but if I touch him at all on any part of his body he either wheels around and kicks the door where I am standing or strikes out with his forelegs. Oh and just in case thats not enough he also bites. I can't go nesr his offside at all only nearside. I don't want to be kicked!!!
This is a major safety issue, any advice???
Just to clarify, I do have another stallion right now, I have had 3 other stallions in the past. I am taking all the saftey precautions, I handle him with the door between us, I am looking for advice on how to gain his trust, I understand he is probally still settling in but I know that treating aggression with aggression will result in a fight I will not win. I was hoping for a good approach that will relax him and bring him to a level of trust... pehaps someone could help me
