i bought a 15" kicker solobaric L7 with DVC 4ohm... i need to know what kinda amps ishould by and how to hook it up... thanks

that sub is 1000 watts RMS

if you have just 1 sub that is dual 4 ohm voice coils, you want an amp that does 1000 watts rms @ 2 ohms, such as the kicker zx 1000.1. or you can get the kicker 1500.1 and just set the gain properly, doing this will give your amp longer life time because it isnt putting out its maximum output constently.

for the sub wiring, connect the terminals in parallel. which is positive to positive, negative to negative

this will cause an amp to see a 2 ohm load. when connecting to the amp, connect the positives on the sub to the positive on the amp, and negtive on the sub to negative on the amp.

with the kicker zx 1500.1, you can put 1500rms to this sub, since it is 1500rms @ 2 ohms. i would go with this amp and just keep the gain set at its correct amount, and the zx 1000.1 amp will put out 1000rms, but it will over-work the amp to make it push out everything its got on a constant basis

go with kicker zx1500.1

Your subs are 1000 watts RMS @ 1 ohm if you wire them parallel which is what I'd do, so you need to find an amp that is rated at the most 1000 watts RMS @ 1 ohm and is 1 channel.
Something like Hifonics TXi 7508, which is rated at 750 watts RMS @ 1ohm.
