Oh yes, that is a must watch. Bump it to the top of your list. Emile is amazing



Romantic longing just kills me. I love tragic love stories, so the fact that he held on to that piece of Jack forever broke my heart. Ennis' reaction to [sp]Jack's death[/sp] also killed me.

The fact that they could never be together and Ennis was left alone, with only Jack's shirts, is pretty crushing. Such a well told love story.
 
It wasn't even that [sp]Jack was dead[/sp] that made it sad... it was the fact that basically Enniss lost his chance at happiness with someone he truly cared about that he wasn't brave enough to declare his love to. :bawl: :( :cry:
 
:lol: i totally know how you feel! i started tearing up at how genuine the couple's love was...it's rare these days. such a cute movie :sigh:

I know the scene you're talking about. Susan is afraid she won't say it and Julia's characters is afraid she will say it. Really sad scene :nod:
 
I don't know if many people saw this, but in "My Life" with Michael Keaton ... the moment he finally dies is so painfully realistic and heartbreaking. =(
 
Remember the Titans - when Bertier is in the hospital and Julius comes in and is told that Bertier only wants to see him and then he goes into his room and Bertier is lying there and lifts his fist in greeting and then the nurse says Family only and Bertier response Dont you see, Alice, thats my brother. I cry every single time I watch that movie

Love Actually - when Emma Thomspons character finds the CD instead of the necklace

Brokeback Mountain - the shirt scenes. when he finds it in Jacks bedroom as well as the scene at the end.
 
My Girl: "Where are his glasses? He can't see without his glasses!" and when she reads her poem...
 
the ending scenes in Remember Me...:bawl: so heartbreaking and sad...Robert Pattinson was amazing in the entire film

I was watching StepMom last night on tv and the scene in the bar between Susan S and Julia R. gets me everytime. When they are talking about the daughter getting ready for her wedding and wishing her mom was there and Susan S saying she fears that her daughter won't wish her mom was there. :cry:
 
The first 5-10 minutes of Up. Oh my God, I was crying like a baby! I don't think a movie has ever made me cry that quickly! :bawl:
 
I own Into the Wild but have yet to watch it. I should probably watch it on my next day off---I have a huge list of movies I own but have never seen. I'm lame.
 
I had forgotten about the "Ugly Duckling" bit in Lilo & Stitch but, Stitch's, "I'm lost"
gets me every time.

Also:

The Searchers - when Ethan stands in the doorway after returning Debbie. He wants to go in but can't. Then the ending song starts and the door closes on him as he walks away.

Snow White - when the dwarfs think Snow White is dead Grumpy goes off on his own and in some of the best cartoon acting ever buries his head in his arms and goes through these massive sobs that rock his body.

My Sassy Girl - the Korean original. When The Girl is running through the streets looking for Gyeon-woo and she misses him coming out of a ramen shop by seconds.

Star Wars - Obi-Wan dies. i saw this during it's original theatrical run in '77 and it blew my 5 year old mind that a "good guy", a hero could die.
 
Love Actually had a lot of wonderful but heartbreaking moments. Like Liam Neeson breaking down in the kitchen while talking to Emma Thomson. or Laura Linney saying Merry Christmas I think it was to Kevin knowing what could have been. and as was mentioned before, Keira Knightley finding out about Marks love for her - awesome. he did great job in those two scenes - both with her and on the street

I dont like Titanic at all but the scene where the ship is sinking and the elderly couple hold each other as the water breaks in and a mother puts the children to bed and the paintings are floating on the water in the room, that got me big time
 
I asked my boyfriend what he thought was the most heartbreaking
moment in a movie was and he said "Lilo and Stitch" -
when Stitch is reading the Ugly Duckling book and says "I'm lost."

Awww :( lol Poor Stitch.
