HDbits,Good news ( or not depending on your point of view)

anyhow, they KNEW it would happen... so why did they announce the opening of invites a week before ?
they could have opened invites for 1 or 2 days without advising any member before the opening, i guess traders and sellers wouldn't have had time to react.

Yea, that sucks for them. That should teach the people that paid to get an invite to never try something like that to obtain a site. Anyways that sucks that invites will not be open i herd that hdbits was a great site.
 
Maybe you're right. Maybe I should start a site, but your point doesn't change the fact that HDBits could open invites and be more normal about it.

The caps and sources are almost all posted to usenet and spotted at ABHDTV anyway. So maybe I'll just hang around there more.

I really don't understand this threat, maybe the topic starter care to explain. First they promised to enable invites for all users, now they only allow VIP users to invite new users. Some users even say, that invites are still closed, some users say invites are only for VIP. All I can say is "confussion".

It's not the first time they've announced that they'll open invites, then cancel supposedly because of all the sellers and traders. So, what kind of morons would they have to be to try it again thinking the same thing wouldn't happen, especially after they announce it several days in advance?

The funniest part about the whole thing is that what they're doing just pisses off the normal members who would be interested in joining who would be assets to the site, and it drives the site's "value" that much higher with the trading and selling crowd.

My opinion: It was all nothing more than a ploy to try to get their site bumped up to level 10.
