i am not at hdbits but i use bit-hdtv, scenehd, hd-torrents.org regularly and I can assure you that hd-torrents .org has really evolved (highest number of releases, and excellent staff support coupled with SPEED) though the forum needs to improve.

SceneHD is perhaps amazing for the number of porn releases it has daily while Bit-hdtv is overall good.

So how's the content there? Is there a decent variety of Russian movies? Lots of seeders? etc?

Well I'm not a member there so cannot give you inside information, just can see on other tracker's forum that a lot of people asking and giving the invites to this tracker particularly. It looks like they have ~1500 torrents, mostly as you say Western stuff with Russian sound.
