have you ever smuggled anything into your home country?

I've smuggled Cuban cigars in from Cancun, Mexico.

Also, in the two (or so) years following high school, I smuggled thousands of pills across the border. Valium, Vicodin, Rohypnols, Soma, etc.

Though my latter day crimes are far less severe. These days I smuggle liquids on the plane so I don't have to throw them away. Don Julio is is pricey over here. :whistling

There's generally a bad connotation about smuggling. Contrabands (like cigarettes, weeds, wines) are not the only items that can be "smuggled". Technically, if you import or export something without paying the custom duties, it is considered "smuggling."

I've bought a laptop and camera from another country and brought them in without declaring them at customs. They're dirt cheap but unfortunately their warranties don't extend to my country..

Does ordering books banned in Europe from American Amazon count?

If so, I've smuggled Alan Moore's Lost Girls and League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen Black Dossier and I'm not sorry.

I accidentally brought a large bag of bush-weed back from South Africa about 14 years ago.I had left it in my jacket pocket which went in to my suitcase and was forgotten about until a week after I got home.
