Have you ever had the urge to simply write?

I realize this isn't any of my business, but I think you should pull out the old bits of writing you have and really see what you can make of them. Save the 1st Ed. (of course), just see what comes to light after a good spit and polish.

Why do you think you're a sucky writer?

Random sit. write: I'm just a few steps away from hypergraphia. I always have a pen. I write in margins, on clothes, walls, myself, others. I have a whiteboard on the wall of my room for jotting down ideas as I'm walking by as well as three notebooks in various places (along with tiny ones I carry around). My laptop always has a window dedicated to writing.

Amount: My thoughts are a little bit scattered. I'll write 10 pages one night and only a few lines in my blog the next night because I'm scribbling notes about hippogriffs, the Rothschilds and wilderness survival.

Inspire: I don't know. I read once that if authors could stop writing, they would. But my world is filtered through the lens of plot, characters, dialogue and proper grammar. I can't imagine what life would look like if I wasn't writing it.

Wow, I really have a strong, and random, urge to write. And I stink at writing!

Two in the morning and I was thinking back to my Senior Project two years ago. I had to write some poems and do a five page story, on anything. I wrote mine based on a dream I had around the same time. Very interesting and descriptive. There was a name that I have never heard of, that I apparently spoke out loud! Delandris. Anyway, after pondering about my dream/mini story I dug out my portfolio and read it. Not bad for a sucky writer lol.

But now I just have the strongest urge to fix and critique it! So, instead, here I am at 2am in my fuzzy red robe, talking to Y!A.

So tell me, in what random situations do you find yourself just dieing to jot down some lines or ideas? Did you end up writing pages upon pages, did you write very little? And what inspires you when you do find yourself writing? Even if it was little quote you made up that sounded interesting?

I dont see how you think you stink at writing. Reading your paragraphs explaining your urge to write kept me entertained. :)

Usually when I read a good book, I'll have the urge to write. When I think about the novel Im working on, I'll have the urge to write. Random times.
