Has anyone else noticed this problem with our culture?

Our educational system is focused on teaching young people to avoid drugs, alcohol, and fornication. Yet society glorifies celebrities who do exactly what children and teens are told not to do. Why do we pay 10-12 million dollars every year to SOME (I avoid generalizing) movie stars and athletes who get in all sorts of legal trouble, while far less to people such as teachers, doctors, and policemen?

I apologize if I came across as angry or judgmental in this question. I just think that our society needs to be a little more consistent in its definition of what is considered acceptable.

BTW, I'm a 16 y/o boy. I feel like the values promoted by the educational system conflict with the values promoted by the entertainment industry, and that myself and my peers are targeted by this.
