Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

Yup! We hear Hermione read it in the LovegooRAB house if I'm remembering correctly!

I think Ron said he loved Babbitty Rabbitty or something- its like a classic in the wizarding world :D

This is the mark of crap directing (and/or editing). Though I really do believe Warner Brothers told David Yates to cut down the running time (it's the shortest movie, made from the longest book!!) so whether that had anything to do with the feel of the film as a whole... Stuff like Snape's Worst Memory, we know they shot a lot more but it was so brief in the finished film and the rest of it didn't even end up as a deleted scene. Maybe an extended version of the Order film will appear later on. OR they're gonna use that memory scene for Deathly Hallows.

This is why Prisoner is my favourite. It's the most atmospheric, letting you take in the whole world rather than rushing from scene to scene, each one having little impact. Scenes like Lupin teaching Harry how to deal with the Dementors (Expecto Patronum!) have yet to be beaten. Alfonso Cuaron made it all very real and moving. You get the feeling the other directors don't care as much as he did and treat things more light-hearted.

There has to be SOME conflict in Hogwarts because the trailer clearly shows Bellatrix walking along one of the house tables in the Great Hall! They probably didn't big up the fight at all though, like they normally would, so it didn't take anything away from the last film.

What surprises me is how the running time is 153 minutes. Order was a lot shorter film and suffered for it, so maybe David Yates learned something. It infuriated me how they cut so many emotional beats out of Order that should have been there. The Lost Prophecy part at the end was, up to that point anyway, the best chapter JK Rowling had ever done, and they cut 90% of it out. They didn't even include the Prophecy, you just hear a small part of it when the sphere smashes.

Interestingly, they list Richard Griffiths and Fiona Shaw (the Dursleys) as being in the cast for Half-Blood Prince. Thought they were cut completely.

just seen the film. i thought helena bonham carter stole the show as bellatrix, absolutely outstanding you really felt she enjoyed peoples misery and causing it. especially when the rest of the DE were walking quickly to get out of the castle as soon as possible and shes just trying to cause as much mayhem as she can.

i think she, alan rickman and the girl who plays luna were streets ahead of the others actors
