Halloween Remake (Production photos)

The Sets look great, really good imo but not sure about the cuts on the mask. The mask should just be plain white, no "make up" on it or anything.

other than that though looks really good, nice to see the "beakout" seems to be shown.

Am slightly worried because the film isn't featured in the 'Coming Soon' section of the Odeon or Cineworld websites... PLEASE tell me they're being shown down here! :(

the problem with remaking halloween (as opposed to maybe something like dawn of the dead, which was a great film anyway incidentally) is that what makes it so great is the direction. the story may have started the slasher cycle but nowadays cant help but seem cliched - killer stalks babysitters, thats it. in 77 it was innovative, now its lame.

The Trailer looks good. I will probably watch it.

I hope they use the original main theme because that still senRAB a shiver down my spine.

John Carpenter's Halloween theme is one of the most simplistic pieces of music ever written, but sometimes the most basic composition is what proves to be the most effective. Another great example being John Williams' theme from Jaws.

Oh definitely. Halloween II scared me SO much,.. it wasn't particularly the jumps, but the suspense of Laurie getting away, Michael chasing her... it's like 'stop crawling along the floor, get up and bloody run!!' - and somehow he always never seems to be far behind!

I saw the workprint of this also on dvd and very impressed with the film overall.

I'm not going to give spoilers on this apart from to say that Malcolm McDowell does a rather good job as Sam Loomis.

The first 30 mins or so of the film gives an outline to Michael as a kid and quickly discover that he is very disturbed. There seems to be a lot of un-neccessary swearing to be honest at the start and also a rape scene and not sure why they had the need to put that it.

Those two things aside, I'm very impressed with it, but seems a little rushed to fit the rest of the storyline into the 80mins of the film.

I'm off to see it at the flicks anyway. Yes, I'm bad as I've already seen the DVD screener or whatever you call it but I do love watching films and have my yearly pass. Can't wait, however the missus said she won't be going

He actually has one of the very first micro-scooters that he wears on his back when on screen. Off camera he scoots about to catch up.
Lol

Watched this last night. OMG what a pile of poo. Based very loosley on the original film. I was suprised John Carpenter allowed his masterpiece to be remade, but judging by this very poor attempt, it only goes to hail the original more. Micheal was more of a Jason/Leatherface, the prequel part of the film could of been so much better, so far fetched that a child of 10 could have such strength. The whole sceanario regarding the Myers mask of how he gets it and then bury's it to return to later is pathetic, and you just have to laugh at him as a child wearing that mask looking like more Oompa Lumpa than psychopathic killer.
My advice is don't waste your money going to watch this film. I was very disappointed with this film, I knew it could not beat the original, but thought surely it couldn't be that bad, but it was! What was I thinking after all, I had watched 'House Of A Thousand Corpses'.
