Hairspray The Movie

I saw a picture from it in one of the Metro News - John Travolta looked just the part! Amazing. I also noticed that John Waters has a cameo in it, as a flasher. Looking forward to seeing it!

it is !! i mean i don't think that theres one person who lets it down ! which is rare as usually theres one thats not as good as the others !! but everyone plays there parts phemoninally ! LOVE IT!!!
 
Well there is still High School Musical 1 and 2 to come out, and he has been rumoured to star in the re-make of Footloose next year.

Nikki is fantastic and i predict a big future for her. :p
 
Don't know about the Doris Day reference but the '45 when you can't buy it' refers to a record. The old LP's used to be called 45's I think and they are probably meaning that they want a specific 45 record but can't buy it because its so popular or they have no money! Thats my interpretation of it anyway :D :o
 
I am not a big fan of musicals.However after seeing the trailer for this movie i think i'll probably go & see it.I've never bothered with the original.
 
I went this afternoon to see this

I'm not a fan of musical's but after seeing the trailer for this movie it looked like a fun movie & indeed it was.My only complaint was i thought there were too many songs but in saying that the majority of the songs were enjoyable.

I thought Nikki Blonsky & Amanda Bynes were pretty good & John Travolta & Christopher Walken did not disappoint also in their roles.

I thought the scene between Christopher Walken & Michelle Pfeiffer in the joke shop was funny

Overall a fun enjoyable movie
 
I read about a special edition DVD that came with a locker-style thing? Anyone heard about this/know what's on it? I'd google it, but it's not behaving.

LOL yeah it does take alot of getting used to seeing John as a woman. I had to watch it a couple of times before I stopped seeing him every time!

I have a huge crush on Zac now as well - he's so gorgeous and I had to watch HSM as soon as I'd seen HS (I preferred him in HS) :D
 
No way - ppl are just plain rude, i think she's great, she's a cuddly teddy bear :)

Yep, that's right. The Doris Day thing (as I understand it) is hard to explain, but - okay. So The Apollo was a traditionally black performance centre where people would get booed off the stage if they weren't amazing. So it basically means that, if Doris Day performed at the Apollo, she'd be humiliated and upset, and similarly - life without love would be like being humiliated in front of crowRAB of people.
