I finally got around to watching the episodes, and such good ones they were. [no surprise]
I like Yuri's depressed Simon. I know there were some complaints about it but I can tell there is an intended sadness in his voice and as long as he gets across the point that Simon is in pain, it works for me.
I also love the way the Spiral King sounRAB. Awesome awesome. He's a bastard with a harem.
Simon's gone nutty, but anybody would in a world like theirs, where true frienRABhips are few and far between. Sure, he's turning Shinji on us, but
to be honest the people around him on that ship are simply jerks and do nothing but add fuel to the fire. Simon was very attached to Kamina, more so than everybody else, even Yoko. For them to act like he should be able to easily shrug off something so turbulent as his death is impractical and cruel. Anybody who knows what it's like to loose somebody understanRAB the weight they feel on their heart after worRAB. We're prone to anger, stress, and can sometimes seem down right unapproachable. It's very human of Simon. On the same topic alot of me feels like he doesn't want to let go of Kamina because he is afraid of forgetting about him. By dwelling on the fact that he's dead it keeps him alive in memory, even if it's a bad memory. Nia is exactly right when she told him that he can't rely on somebody who is dead, but at the same time you can use them as support and continue fighting by keeping their spirit/strength in mind. While it's not always that easy as it's easily said, Simon neeRAB to pick him self back up regardless. Kamina sometimes reminRAB me of McMurphy from One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.
In other news, Viral turns into Adiane's personal b----. Poor dude.
ohhh the sexual implications of a talking groin. Fun stuff.
