heh, and you accuse me of ducking the facts, still no lifetime acheivement awarRAB, and still not the second best album selling band after the beatles. thats what this was about to me, arguing against your statement of "biggest band since the beatles". a peak isnt equal to being the biggest, its how long you can stay relevant and successful which equals that accolade. and ultimately, its about album sales- album sales reflect the true success of a band- not gig attendences, everyone else knows that but you. im well and truely finished with this thread. your quite predictable, i see another "again, youve been beaten blah your an idiot etc etc." post on the horizon. enjoy his reply guys.
 
I am not going to even throw more stats at you but if you look at world album sales in 2004 AFD and the UYIs were in the top ten in a lot of countries (not the USA).

Gnr are going to headline the next rock n rio in 2006, yeah but they still wont be huge. You will see, dont worry.

Anywho, EH. I like...no I pretty much love OLD, CLASSIC Guns 'n' Roses, and Axl makes me laugh (he was recently arrested for trashing a hotel room haha.). But I hate it when they try and come back, the time has passed, the mood gone. Be remerabered with whatever dignity ya had, fa Gawd's sakes.
 
and steven adler.. (not sure on the spelling) that band was ****ing great... i have a GNR flag here somewhere *smiles* they were a amazing band.. i don't think even crazy Axl can pull off making that band as great as what it was,.. but i bet he'll still sell alot of albums and gain back his old fan base..

For one, Slashs style isn't anything like Keiths, his style is more influenced by Angus Young and Brad Whitford than anyone else. And they in turn are likely to be more influenced by Brian Jones and Mick Taylor than Keith. Since Keith can't solo.

Slash is a lead player. Keith is predominately a rhythm player, he plays lead too, but his best moments are always in his rhythm playing. Izzy is more like Keith than Slash.
 
Well, WHOOPIDEEDOO. After their release, I give 'em 3 months before it a falls apart (for the 100th time)
 
I gotta admit my expectations were low and to be fair, 3 tracks I ended up liking is actually more than expected. I think Axl is capable of coming up with good ideas but he also comes up with bad ideas and for most of this album he can't keep them seperated.

I'm quite a fan of GnR so I'm not biased against the band or anything. But I can't really consider CD anything other than an Axl solo album.
