Guilty Pleasures: Critically & popularly panned movies that you enjoyed

Saw it on sky a couple of years ago. Natalie Appleton plays "the slag character" oh so well :)

Its set in 60's london when everyone is out of it on LSD

My god i loved that film, i can never remember what its called when i wanna tell people about it, to be honest it scared the crap outta me when i first saw it, i was about 6 or so and had nightmares for weeks after staying up late by myself to watch it.

Okay... that's crossing the line, Buster... there's crap... there's crap... and then there's Jersey Girl.

Oh wait... do you mean the OTHER film by that name that was on TV the other day?

Jersey Girl '92 is okay, if a chick flick...

Jersey Girl '04 is the Kevin Smith helmed/written 3C2C*.

If you ever wanted to know the definition of the word 'Mawkish", watch the Kevin Smith film. It's the only film of his I refuse to buy on DVD.

*3C2C... Car Crash Committed To Celluloid :p

Being very very drunk probably had a lot to do with it, but I didn't half enjoy 'Day after Tomorrow' when we watched it at the weekend, laughing hysterically and treating it as a comedy probably helped :o

*Straps on snow shoes and prepares to walk to NYC*

Mine would be Anaconda. I love it to bits. Such a great popcorn film. I do agree that it's rubbish, but in a great way!

Also, Shark Attack 3. A cult classic! Anyone who hasn't seen it hasn't lived! And, starring the lovely John Barrowman! Best 'Bad' movie ever!

This is on Sat 1st Apr Five 4:05pm. Haven't seen it since it was released, but really liked it at the time.

Other than that, I suspect Mighty Ducks was panned when it came out (?) but I rather liked it.

Also, as other posters have mentioned, Last Action Hero, and 8mm.

Dont laugh, but I really liked Street Fighter. lol Maybe I'm biased 'cause I was a huge fan of the game when I was younger. But I really did enjoy the film :)

White Chicks also springs to mind. I thought it was hilarious.
Oh, and the re-make of Psycho. Fair enough not as good as the original but I still enjoyed it.

I saw it at the cinema and similarly nearly pissed myself. By the time they were in that boat with the wolves I nearly had to be carried out. OH was adding to my mirth with comments like "It's not funny, it could really happen" (maybe the iceage bit but Dennis Quaid walking to NYC in some snow shoes to save his son - come on!!!!!).

On the other hand I did find it a bit sobering that the stupid Americans still don't believe in global warming - RAB.
