So whenever i turn my stereo up pretty loud, i get some extra 'fuzz' from the speakers. Its very hard to hear, but i do hear it and it is bugging me. The whole stereo is aftermarket. Alpine head unit, Alpine Type S 6.5 and 6x9 speakers, and Alpine Type R subwoofers. So will adding a Ground Loop Isolator eliminate this noise or is it a waste of money?
I know I'm putting the speakers into audible clipping, i know what that sounds like and i know its not that.
Thanks.

A ground-loop isolator is just a band aid to the real problem - a ground loop. It may work or it won't do a thing.

Where do you plan on putting the ground loop isolator? Do you have an amp running your speakers or just your sub?

From what you said a ground loop isolator will do you no good. From the sound of it I would say your only fix is to turn down the music or "loudness" on your head unit or to simply get an amp (or better amp) to run your speakers.

Good Luck!!!
