greatest rock frontman in last 25 yrs

Dammit, knew i forgot someone, i tried not to leave out all the great prog frontman since most people do, will try to add him if i get to updating my list again.

because i do not jump on the" little richard" band wagon, you wanna label me racist?
let me tell ya' something boo-boo,before you nibble in the wrong pic-nik basket. being a pioneer gives no nothing as far as what rock n' roll music is or about. what does race have to do with rock n' roll? your a joke. a complete joke. i make one opinion and i get a label attached to me, why? because i don't let you change my opinion on a front man, screw you. STAND FOR SOMETHING AND QUIT BEING YOGI'S BI*cH . punk.

Frank Zappa is Captain Beefheart?, wow, they look nothing alike and i have seen them together on several occasions, makes sense.

And no i meant peter gabriel, he was in Genesis long before Collins became their frontman, Collins mimiced Gabriels vocals but he lacked his stage persona, Gabriel was a very exiting frontman, especialy live, he would get very into it and onstage wore unsual outfits, he was also one of the first rock performers to do the goth look with the black and white makeup, long before Robert Smith. :D

And about Waters, Strummer and Patton, are you saying they are too low or that they shouldn't be on the list at all?, specify for me.

Kurt Cobain. He was a great songwriter and every show seemed to be amazing, his voice was awesome and Nirvana was awesome. Even if they're overrated, I think Kurt Cobain was an amazing frontman.

I would give axl rose the nod as the best rock frontman in the last 25 yrs. Granted he's vanished the last 10 and counting but what he did for gn'r is amazing

So, guess which one's the lead singer?

yeah led zeppelin is one of my favorite banRAB. they influenced about every rock band that has ever played after them and you know who sung all those amazing c*ck rock anthems? yea that's right not little richard. my opinion has nothing to do about my fav. band or bobby gilespie. it has everything to do with robert plant being better than little richard.

How so?, Zeppelin are in my top 5 as far as my favorite banRAB go, but i think im being fair, Little Richard deserves to be higher, plain and simple, how he was so electric and charasmatic on stage was a major innovation in Rock N Roll history.

Well, I only went with ones I'd actually seen live. I've been to literally hundreRAB of shows in my lifetime, but those were the best I'd seen, frontman-wise.

I was tempted to include Paul Stanley and Bruce ****inson, but having seen them several times on the same tours, I knew most of their music banter (nyuk nyuk nyuk) was scripted, and varied little from night to night. Which can probably be said for most, I don't know.

Um 25 years? since 80 huh? Axl was damn good without a doubt but we should define what a frontman is before we go off slapping it on people who may not deserve it.

Everyone post a rule:

1. utility: a lead vocalist who has the ability to fill in multipple positions should get a boosted rating as opposed to a singer who can only sing.

1. I think youre right about capt. beefheart, it was a colaboration between Zappa and Don Van Vliet, and i think it was Don that actually took the Capt. Beefheart stage name. My mistake.

2. I wasnt aware that peter gabriel was ever the frontman for Genesis. I like Gabriel way more than i could ever like collins, so again, my mistake.

as for whether i think strummer, waters and patton should be higher or lower, definetly higher up the list especially when you compare the ones you have higher up -

Billie Joe Armstrong, Jack White, the guys from stained and incubus rated higher than Strummer?????

is this a list you made, or was it one you found on another site?
