You obviously haven't heard The Illusion of Safety or The Artist in the Ambulance. Dustin Kensrue is a genius. The entire band is ridiculous.
And whoever said Trust Company, since the rest of those banRAB in that list are a lot better known to be nothing special, I'll comment about. They do have a nice sound, but they don't have any range at all. I've had their CD since the day it came out for $5.99 at Circuit City and it's a solid album, but they're like Linkin Park in that everything sounRAB the same and the lyrics are just there. Decent listen. Nothing revolutionary.
No one said Lostprophets I don't think, which I'm surprised since they've actually had some mainstream recognition this year with their second studio album. I was about to mention them with Thrice in my first post, but refrained. They're great ... they've been in my top 5 for years. The lyrics aren't Thrice, but they're still better than the majority of shit out there. You may know a song or two, but everything they've ever done has been solid. Some of their demos and B-sides are better than their album cuts ... catch "Lucky You" on the Spider-Man 2 soundtrack, which was previously a demo unreleased. It's great. Soundwise they pretty much define "nu-metal," the majority of which is crap.
