Grand Cherokee radio swap?

I have an 02 Grand Cherokee and was thinking of swapping the factory radio for an Alpine cda-9885. I already changed the front speakers to a cdt component set and replaced the amp. Question.....Other than increased functionality, will I hear a noticable difference in sound quality? Also, adding a new radio will make adding a sub easier.
