I hear it's been slated by the critics .. but, I've found some people who enjoyed it, too. What do you, posters, all think of it, those who have seen it? Is it worth going to watch it?

Sean.

I thought it was quite possibly the worst film this year, equaled only by Haunted Mansion and the Cat in the Hat!

Watch it only if you must............Also is it me or do some scenes in the film copy The Ring?

LOL how long before this is thread is locked. I also *aquired* a screener copy and copied it to cd to watch on tv and it was great. Its actually already available in the US on dvd so if you have a multiregion DVD player you could buy it for just over a tenner.

A few of the images of the blonde girl reminded me of the Ring too but I dont think it was copied just it looks similar.

Great film.

Not overly impressed with the film. It's a nice idea, but a few inconsistensies don't sit well with me...I know, I know, I'm probably just being pedantic. Average performances from the cast, I'd say, and also extremely predictable. The ending was pretty lame.

I'm also looking forward to a scary movie that doesn't use the girl-dressed-in-white-with-hair-in-face motif, which I think is a blatant copy of The Ring. There is, however, one terrifying moment in the film that is not intentionally so...when Halle Berry's husband leans in to kiss her...

Urgh, I'm getting goosebumps just thinkin' about it! ;)

I saw it FREE last night when me and my bird were walking out of ''dawn of the dead'' after being inflicted with terminal bordemom so we walked into this one just as it was starting for free. It was ok and it was SO obvious that sherriff ryan was a bad guy. I felt that we were owed a film free after ''dawn of the shite''. :)

Saw Gothika on Saturday and could honestly say it has got to be one of the worst films i've ever seen. Would deffinalty say it's not worth seeing. Would give it 1/10.

watched it on DVD over the weekend - not that impressed to be honest - but I have seen worse and it did pass away 90 mins or so - but then again I can't remember the last time I saw a really scary film

I gotta say its poor at best. The only people screaming were the young girls from my old school, who shouldnt have been let in anyway (only 13) but thats another story. Did anyone else think 1) It didnt make sense and 2) Why "behind blue eyes"?

I mean I know this sort of film shouldnt be realistic but without wanting to ruin the film for those who didnt see it......

Why were Halle Berry and Penelope Cruz released? Yeah because the police would have believed that she shot the Sheriff in defence and that he caught fire for no apparent reason? Absolute pants. And what was the point of behind blue eyes? The main characters all had brown eyes and how do the lyrics relate to the film? Wasnt it a case of try and whip up excitement for the movie through the song?

is Gothika worth seeing??

in a word....NO...

are some of the scenes very familiar.....Yes, they are not sure if they are from the ring though

If you havent seen it dont read this little rant:

at the risk of getting my arse kicked here it scared the shite out of me, i thought it was class right up until the bit in the basement of that gaff...then it was utter shite. WHY the last ten minutes, people, WHYY?? i mean, that nice little tidy up was a heap of shit. yer one penelope cruz girl was a nutter. NUTTER. why would she get released based on halle berry seeing her point a bit? still a violent murderer, no?? and that boy thing? purposeless hollywood tripe. Scariest thing in the final scene was the fact that an eerily atmospheric film could be concluded so so very badly. scariest thing in the opening ten?? that kiss...ewww, halle, like, why, woman??

I thought this film was FANTASTIC. I loved every minute of it. At one point i was in desperate need of going to the little girls room - but i didnt want to leave the TV for one second.

I would give this 9/10. Its a great film.

Went to the pictures to see this last night, I thought it was a great horror. Had me scared quite a few times! Is been ages since I saw a film that actually got me scared.
