I had a long question but cut it.....The online slash fanbase is generally run by woman so why do people thing I am weird. And why is there not more out there on this gathering of woman and why it happens. we are not alone. on the internet we are almost a culture of our own...

I know exactly what you're talking about! I don't get it myself to be honest - I'm a woman, totally straight for sure, but I find gay guy couples so adorable. I don't know what it is, I just think its so cute when I see two gay guys eating dinner together or something. One of my best friends is gay and he's just so much fun to be around. But I guess I can't really answer your question; just empathize with you. Really don't know why I think gay guys are so cute when they're together. Like you said, its a strange fascination.
 
People like to think that heterosexual men liking lesbians is a unique thing. They decide that women have no interest in sex, so there isn't any reason for them to find the idea of gay men attractive.

Some people also think that fan culture (And now increasingly gaming culture) is a low-brow, inconsequential form of entertainment because women are the main people who run it. Now that it has been discovered that women are the main users of communication services, people pronounce that these services are not sustainable.

I don't think any of this is coincidence, because historically there is a relationship between an increase in the numbers of women in a given vocation, and the value which society places on that vocation. Same thing here. Basically, if women like it, it is stupid, or it doesn't exist.
