gain and bass boost question?

ok i have to match my amps voltage to 38.73v but is this JUST FOR GAIN? because its going to put out more than that if i up the bass boost right? is it ok the turn up bass boost after you have matched the voltage? and if so how much?
what im asking is i set it to the max voltage 38.73 using the gain and then its ok to turn up the bass boost or will turning it up clip the amp?
 
Keep the bass boost all the way off it WILL affect the voltage if its turned off... No professional ever touches bass boost.
Turning the bass boost up WILL cause the amp to clip.
