Okay, this series is debuting on Wednesday with 2 episodes, but one of the episodes has been on Break.com for the past week or two, so it's appropriate to start the talkback thread. BTW, this series, while not yet rated, is not reccommended for young viewers.
Series Synopsis: It's the 1980s. And GameAVision is a company that makes video games. The series follows GameAVision employees/programmers Dave and Jerry as they try to create video games and survive their workplace. The series is the latest from Adam de la Pena, the man behind Minoriteam and I'm With Busey.
Episode 1: "The Woz" The GameAVision staff's world is turned upside down when owner Steve Wozniak (guest starring as himself) sells the company to a crazy Texas oil tycoon named Larrity so he can become a co-founder of Apple Computer.
Episode 2: "E.T." Larrity buys the rights to make a video game out of the upcomming Hollywood blockbuster "E.T." and gives the job of creating the game to Dave and Jerry. You know, with a game property like "E.T.", you know the final product isn't going to be good. You can actually view this episode on Break.com right now.
The episode on Break is getting some mixed reviews (mostly negative) and the review score for the full ep is 3 1/2 stars. But, I like it, and I'm going to record the premiere. The show is G4's first fully original scripted series (excluding stuff like like the X-Play musical), so there is some pressure to see if this flops or not.
Check out the previews on G4tv.com and Break.com and enjoy the first 2 episodes!
NOTE: Since this is a show on G4, the poll will reflect the review scale on G4's signature show, X-Play: a five-point system.
