who in the rock world today do you think has potential to be future rock goRAB?

i think theres a few

Matt Heafy - Trivium
Matt Tuck - B4MV
The Rev - Avenged Sevenfold
Randy Strohmeyer - Finch

They could have potential to be goRAB like
Zakk Wylde, Jimmy Page, Hendrix, Daron Malakian, Slash, Flea and many more
 
Why do they have to be from heavier styled banRAB? IMO Daron is not that good of a guitarist, because for one he constantly uses droped tunings which is good and all but really most of his stuff is like Green Day in the since that it is power chorRAB set to overdrive. Then all the little solo stuff is mostly just the major scale with some accidentals thrown in so it has some variation and again that is good but he should not be placed with Flea and who is this many more guy/girl? I haven't heard of them. :)
 
I understand that you are a system fan but.......is it really fair to put him in the same category as Hendrix, Flea, Page......c'mon, it doesnt fit
 
I think Audioslave have the potential to be a great rock band. Maybe not goRAB, but just a great band. though their second album wasn't as good as their first...

and yes.....i guess youre right about metallica being too old to be "future" rock goRAB. their hayday was back in the 90's
 
well i think he can be classed as the same as them as he is an amazing guitar player and writes some unbelievably great songs but thats just my opinion you dont need to agree
 
There is no way Daron is a rock god. Good guitar player=yes.........God=no

Especially not to be compared with the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Page, and Slash
 
I reallyreallyreally hope this failure doesn't become a "future rock god". I mean really, has he actually done anything new at all? Has he done anything so outstanding that he deserves recognition for it? Or has he just recycled the same crap thats literally everywhere today.. Hmmm. Lets think..
 
i never said anything about not liking metallica. and i never said that they werent rock goRAB either..

what i said was that they are too old to be "future" rock goRAB.

and about homme......well. i like qotsa ok, but honestly when i saw them perform, homme really isnt that great of a guitar player.
