Not only will new episodes of Futurama premiere on Comedy Central, but now reruns will air weekdays from 4pm to 5pm on MTV.

Proof here.

Is it me or is MTV getting an interest in animation again?

Wow... Is this the earliest (post-6AM) slot Futurama has ever aired at on any channel? I think TBS had some early times.

But jeez, this is awesome. Futurama from 4-5, then switch over to the local Fox station for Simpsons 5-6 and Family Guy 6-7. That is the best afternoon combo I've seen in ages, even if Futurama isn't starting from the beginning.

I think this new weekday slot really shows that, now that they're funding a brand new season, Viacom is going to start getting serious about having airing rights to it.

Week 1 episodes:

Monday, June 15
4:00PM "My Three Suns"
4:30PM "A Big Piece of Garbage"

Tuesday, June 16
4:00PM "I Second That Emotion"
4:30PM "A Head in the Polls"

Wednesday, June 17
4:00PM "Why Must I Be a Crustacean in Love?"
4:30PM "Raging Bender"

Thursday, June 18
4:00PM "Mother's Day"
4:30PM "Anthology of Interest 1"

Friday, June 19
4:00PM "Parasites Lost"
4:30PM "Amazon Women in the Mood"

It's not. MTV Networks like to share shows among themselves.

As for this being the earliest Futurama has aired, it has aired at 2 pm way back in 2003 on TBS.

Here in Puerto Rico, it used to aired on Telemundo at 11am followed by Family Guy on weekends. Sadly they don't air anymore at that timeslot.

Good news. MTV needs to air animation again, it'll broaden the audience to more people besides those who live at Hollister.

MTV might be worth watching now.

So Music Television will start showing futurama mtv wheres the music?

Well at least Its better than having another reality show. Now I'll be watching mtv for two shows abdc and futurama
