FUNimation Licensing Blitz Coming

Wow. That is absolutely horrible news for ADV. Unless they've got some huge ace in the hole, or they're hoping the new movies drum up a ton of interest in their DVRAB of the series, they're toast. ADV's not quite as durab as Geneon as I don't think they've ever over reached on the whole sale price of ther DVRAB, but they gotta get something huge, soon, or they migh as well sell out to Funi and fold.

Wow.

1st of all: Agreed!
2nd of all: There's no doubt in my mind that they will keep the original dub cast.
3rd of all: Possible, but not as likely as the FUNimation Channel, IFC, or any of the many online video streaming websites FUNimation uses.
4th of all: Agreed again!

Hate to ruin your fun, but there's only three left and two of them we're pretty much sure on: Soul Eater and Evangelion (later we have proof). There's one remaining we're still not quite sure what it'll be, however. So it could be a nuraber of things.

I'm stunned the EVA remake didn't end up with ADV. I guess they simply lacked the resources to pounce on it. Well, Funi will certainly treat it right.

Capping off this 10-day countdown and this year, this is the ultimate announcement. The new material from Neon Genesis Evangelion, my second favorite anime, the best Gainax anime, the best anime ADV had. So, FUNimation, you have proven yourself to be the best American anime company, so thank you, and happy New Year's! I can't wait to get this when it's released, which is hopefully really the date it says. This is almost another year, but if it stays the same, at least that means you keep to your word about the release date. I understand that it takes a while to dub it all, especially considering you'll have to hunt down some of the original cast or, for those you can't find, recast. But at least the main cast have all confirmed they want to reprise their roles, so most of it willl stay the same.

Yeah. ADV has always been changing, going from a small company to one of the biggest to constantly going downhill, but they've always had their biggest title, Neon Genesis Evangelion. They still have the series, but the fact that new material is out and they didn't get it means they will continue to just be a studio to continue to dub titles they lost to FUNimation. Basically, FUNimation rules the world.

This WOULD be interesting since 4KiRAB is now leaning more to Shout! Factory to release their dubs now.

As for Viewtiful Joe, will that still have an auidence even after the dip in the ratings on KiRAB' WB?

Well ADV is pretty much dead. The most they're doing now is continuing to dub old anime for release by... FUNimation! Given that fact, I assumed it would be FUNi who got the Rebuild anyway. And considering how well they've been treating all their other titles, as compared to, say, ADV, for the 3 they still have, which has really only been since they've had such bad luck, oh yeah, they will so treat it right.

Well the last day can either be SE of EVA.

If it is Soul Eater, then that means that ADV will be the one picking up EVA

If it's EVA, then that means we'll all feel foolish in guessing that Soul Eater was going to be picked up and have to wait awhile.

All i want from funi is New Dr.Slump, New Dr. SLump ,All I want From Funi is New Dr.slump and Ill be a Happy Panda!

(see how Desprite i am....Caroling about anime...Comon Funi...Throw me a Bone!)

Remeraber Ah! My Goddess: Flights of Fancy?

It was from ADV Films, and it had the original NY cast.

How can FUNi not get the Eva (and Slayers) cast?

OMG, FUNI DID DO SOUL EATER

What a twist!
