If this is true, FUNimation has just done what I have been waiting for for years, since the Rebuild was announced, which is obviously what they got, since ADV still has the series, and the Rebuild hasn't been licensed yet. I decided to hold off from watching 1.0 fansubs in hopes that it would be licensed soon, since anything Eva should be soon after its release in Japan. Then ADV started getting closer and closer to dying, and I was starting to doubt it would ever get licensed, but I still hoped FUNi would, since they seemed to be in the best position to do so. Then my hopes went up when FUNi started saving all of ADV's dropped titles, then more when they started working with Gainax to release their new show Shikabane Hime just after it aired in Japan, then more when they sent out C&RAB for fansubs of this, and once they announced this licensing blitz, I was sure Eva would be one of their 10 titles, so I completely believe that's what this is. Thank you so much, FUNi, for once again proving to be the best American anime distributor! I can't wait to hear more about it. As for the cast, there's nothing to worry about, for many reasons. For one, they're in Texas, plus they're using ADV's studio anyway, plus it's definitely worth the money to fly any voice actors around that need to be, considering how bad it would be if they tried to change it. And above all, all of the main cast, even down to Greg Ayres (Kaworu in the Director's Cut episodes) have said that they want to reprise their roles if the new Eva movies ever get licensed. I can't wait to hear them in their old roles. And there are still 3 more movies to be released after 1.0, so FUNi will be raking in even more cash over the next few years, and I am glad to hand it over, in exchange for what I've been waiting for for so long. Here's to four more Evangelion movies dubbed! By the way, can you give me the link to the exact page this is found on?
