FUNimation Licensing Blitz Coming

I'm still holding out hope that the title of this licensing blitz is a hint in and of itself:

"New Show a Go Go"

I mean, the series I take that as a reference to was a Geneon license, so...

DAMN STRAIGHT! (sorry) Kyoran Kazoku Nikki FTW! (That show defines obscure)

Hey, I bet they could do Kannagi or Mitchiko and Hatchin! That would be something

(But out of anything, Soul Eater and Reborn please)

Probably, and as for Disgaea, I'll probably import the Australian R4 DVD boxset from Madman Entertainment , it'll save me the trouble of hunting down the R1 DVD's, I also might do that Steel Angel Kurumi, that's the only way I can think of acquiring it legally

But in America, catering to fans does not work compared to Japan. It's catering to the ignorant masses that don't know anything about the show.

Re: Samurai Champloo: Like Ikki Tousen, not a huge surprise. From what I remeraber, it did pretty well in DVD sales and aired on Adult Swim. While I'm sure this will make latecomers happy, it's another wasted license for me since I already own it.

Re: Soul Eater: Was anyone really surprised by this one? That clue wasn't exactly subtle. Anyway, those character designs look sort of FLCL-ish to me. And if the show satirizes shonen cliches, it could be good.

2? There's still 4 days left. =P

Anyway, hooray for Oh! Edo Rocket, I haven't had a chance to check it out but I hear nothing but good things and surely FUNi will give us a taste before long.

Interestingly enough, Oh! Edo was created by the writer of Gurren Lagann. Plus it was directed and written by the director/writer of Fullmetal Alchemist.

Hm, I hope one of the 2 shows without hints is something new and not just another Geneon rescue. One series I would like to see released here is Zorabie Loan. It seems like a random show FUNi might be interested in.

What about a job at FUNimation?

I kid, I kid... or do I?

Looking forward to what you guys have instored for the rest of the day.

(depressed) Damn, you're right

(glass shatters)
(goes into a fiery rage and cries a la Nobuyuki Hiyama)
It's a shame no one's (except one of my frienRAB) as passionate about anime as I am!!

(goes into a corner and sulks)

I don't know all from the top of my head, but most of those names I listed appeared on FMA, obviously. Jamie McGonnigal, a NY voice actor who's done some stuff for 4kiRAB, has also been in BECK and now currently Big Windup for FUNi.
