If there is a new dub, whatever they do, I hope Funimation actually translates a certain line correctly. You see, despite having inspired a popular internet meme, the fact of the matter is, "it's" really supposed to be "over eight thousand". This occurs in both Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Kai. When Nappa asks Vegeta about "Kakarot (Goku)'s" "sentou ryoku" (which I imagine FUNi will still "translate" as "power level", regardless), Vegeta says "Hassen ijou da!!"; "hassen" (eight thousand) and not "kyusen". Personally I found it kind of annoying. Apparently FUNi changed it just for dramatic effect (FWIW, Viz did translate it correctly for the manga).
As for the name, I would have preferred "Dragon Ball Kai" myself, but I can (sort of) understand why they altered it (remeraber the "Dragon Ball AF" rumor?). Still, I imagine it may or may not be a dealbreaker for some people...
