FullMetal Alchemist New Series 2009

I really didn't find it more evocative so much as sluggish and poorly paced. The first FMA really wasn't as good as a lot of people are trying to imagine it as having been.

Something's been bugging me. I find the fight scenes not as exciting as they could be.

Anyway, the Yoki episode was already done in full in the previous TV series. So I think it'd be a waste to reanimate it again. I think it'll work well enough if his past with the Elric brothers just gets mentioned or shown in flashbacks.

I just watched 14 last night and I must say AWESOME. Finally a look at some new stuff. The Greed fight was pretty badass as well.
Also since I didn't read the manga I did not expect the humonculi names to be switched up.

Seems like Bradey has Roy by the balls right now, so Ed and Lin are in Gluttony's stomach because he is a failed attempt to create the door of truth, hopefully they can kick Envy's ass and somehow find a way out of there, possibly with Al going to see father then father might release Ed as it seems he is part of fathers plans.

lolwut! they are releasing a chapter every month? That's something I never knew. It gives more time for art and detail into chapter unlike other shows.

Episode 32 was a fairly slow and uneventful episode, but I do like that it allows you to catch your breath before some of the rather intense moments that you can expect to happen soon. Scar's on the run, May Chang's headed north, fun but vaguely filler-ish scenes with Selim Bradley... and a crossdressing General Grauman. O_O

Well, watched ep 21 few moments ago.

Seems Havoc is alive but is paralyzed from the attack from waist down =( , and next ep looks like we are getting into Gluttony's fight. Been awhile since I read the manga but I do believe its leading up to where they capture Gluttony for interrogation.

Overall was a good ep =)

because supposedly, the original anime diverged from the manga storyline around the 30th episode and the remake is supposedly NOT going to diverge from the manga storyline at all.

Even so, then that would mean that the previous episodes would have been pointless.

ONE SOLUTION!

This new anime version features*drum roll*TINY MINISKIRTS!
..
Or Nudity
..
XD

So long as this will still catch my attention and be interesting.

I liked the episode it sets up nicely for whats to come. I have not read the manga so I do not know but from the preview it is apparent that good things are a coming.

55 was one of the best, if not the best episode in the series so far, so much epic stuff happened, Father v Hohenheim was short but sweet, love how Hohenheim plays down how strong he is, and Izumi really was awesome, her corabo with her husband was top dollar, and his and Armstrongs reactions together had me laughing my head off

Alright, my thoughts on it (I know what you're thinking: "I didn't ask for it Norune", WELL TOO BAD!)

This is a better start than with the first series. I was annoyed by how long it took to get to Roy and the Philosopher stone bits of it, everything also just looks better.
Can't wait to see if it gets picked up as a part of Adult Swim in the near future.

If you don't watch this series until the point in which it differs from the first series then I can't see how you can have any opinion on it, you haven't seen anything of the new series until you reach that point.

Edward and Alphonse heading North is one of my favorite parts from the manga, so I'm glad to see that it is finally getting to that part.

32 was alright. Just setting the stage for the next part.
