One time I didn't have any whipped cream in the house but I did have sour cream so I tried it with some berries, and I thought it was excellent. Kinda gives them a different flavor enhancement. I've loved sour cream with fruit ever since. :)

Strawberries and sour cream? I never tried that... I've tried it with whipped cream...

$160 for 15 strawberries? :thud: I wonder what is so special about them to make them so excessively expensive. That's more than $10 a berry!

We've had an unusually cold winter here, so I was glad to see that we were getting our strawberries on time. :)

 Not too much white wine?

Me, I love to have strawberries with sour cream.

Speaking of strawberries, saw a picture on this one photographer's blog about a pack of strawberries that's about $160. ;)

It's an ugly day here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It's 50 F and raining heavily.

When the local Farmer's Market called to tell me that I could come pick up the lemon tree that I ordered I would totally have been justified in telling them I'd wait until tomorrow. Then I thought, why not have an adventure?! Little adventures are good for the soul.

Traffic was heavy. The roads were flooded. And I got totally soaked with rain from head to toe. It was an adventure alright. :P Still, I got my pretty lemon tree. And I also go a kumquat tree that was covered with fruit. :)

But I couldn't ignore the scent of strawberries. The Farmer's Market was loaded with baskets and baskets of Louisiana strawberries so fresh that they still had garden soil clinging to them. I absolutely had to have a basket of strawberries.

I could hardly wait to get home! And when I did, I stood there (still dripping wet from the cold rain) at the kitchen sink rinsing off strawberries one by one and eating them while the juice ran down my chin.

Life doesn't get any better than that. :glow:
