I am pretty sure I want a pocket pc phone, and I don't want to blow $500 on it. I'm on cingular now and happy with it (out of contract). And I have a verizon wireless EV-DO card for my laptop. I find that I take the laptop everywhere, it's heavy and bulky etc. When I'm out and about I use it for web/email, gps, and ocasionally im. I'm pretty sure a pda phone would do all I need most of the time, but I'm not sure which way to go. All of my friends and family are on cingular, so I only use 200 minutes of non p2p but that would go up if I switched. Since I have a data contract with vzw and all my calls are cingular I am pretty much choosing between those two. I can renew cingular and get an 8125 for $200, but that doesn't have sdio or gps built in.
I can get the samsung for verizon for $100 with a $100 rebate, but it is an older phone... I was hoping someone here could tell me if the i700 would be enough to do what I want or will I just be dissapointed?
so to sum it up
ppc pda on cingular or verizon
must do gps, web, email, play mp3
phone can't be too horrible
trying to stay under $300
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
