Free dvds in this week's/weekend's papers

A couple of points. Firstly that postcode checker isn't very reliable. It gave me a store 6.5km away but that closed down ages and ages ago.

Secondly today's Sun (Thursday) has a postal coupon for the whole set that makes no mention of needing to enclose any tokens. So I'm sending that off to see what happens.

It's true... it was trailed in the Guardian yesterday (back page of the main paper).

I would recommend to peeps to grab a copy early... I find Saturday Guardian can sell out quite quickly, I think because people like to get it for the graduate jobs supplement as well. I would also imagine a lot of people who don't normally get the Sat Guardian buying to flog it on eBay!

I noticed they're using the 'unprecedented demand' line as the reason for extending the war films collection.....this is the second time (at least) they've extended a collection so therefore demand is not 'unprecedented' as they've done this before!

Thought I'd share this with you. I know someone who works in Smith's at weekenRAB and they pick up the Saturday DVD for me.

She's just given me the Saturday DVD and tells me for the first time on Saturday they actually ran out of the DVRAB.

The reason? One person came in with 80 tokens! All for the same day. I'm actually surprised they gave him 80 as I think that's out of order but I suppose they didn't know what else to do.

Come on people - don't let this thread die - it's lasted so long!

"This fantastic seven part series of classic Elvis films will delight Elvis fans everywhere. So don't forget to buy the Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday every day from Saturday August 14 to get your seven part series of classic Elvis DVRAB."

A Voucher will be printed in the Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday every day from Saturday August 14 right up to Friday August 20. Simply cut out the Voucher printed each day and take it to your nearest Tesco, WHSmith or Eason store* and you will be given that day's DVD.

All of them a collect job. I'd love to know how it works with Somerfield though.

I had to go to Somerfield yesterday and thought I'd see if I could pick one up.

This is now the third different time I've tried to get a DVD at a Somerfield from three different localish branches and all of them have said the same."Sorry but we don't get any DVRAB to start with".

Running out is one thing but three different stores in recent times telling me they don't get any to start with?
