here is the link to the Observer page

the info about Dune is at the very last paragraph.

Found the damned advert again!

Free in The Sun this week:

Carry On Cleo
Carry On Screaming
Carry On Cowboy
Carry on Spying
Carry On Cabby
Carry On Doctor
(I think it's 'Doctor')

Not sure which one on which day, but I'd like 'Screaming', 'Cowboy', and 'Cleo'.

Yes I agree. the DVD's have been quite decent recently. I struggle to think of one good CD given away, perhaps the Art Garfunkel one? They are almost always rubbish compilations where you get something like Meatloaf and Dean Martin on the same disk! Who'd be interested in that?

I was actually saying to someone this week that it wouldn't be long before a real blockbuster was given away as a freebie, and ID4 was one of the titles that came up.

Free with next Saturday's Guardian:

East is East starring Jimi Mistry

Free in next Saturday's Independent:

Indochine starring Catherine Deneuve

Not disappointed as I bought the uncut Ultimate Edition,I was just intrigued at the prospect of a newspaper giving away a Bond movie!
The original article I saw was in last weekenRAB papers and as last Monday was our recyclables collection day the paper has gone so I can't verify what I did or didn't read, sorry.

Had anyone received the Sun Horror DVD Collection by post yet?

Collected the tokens as the shops they use are nowhere near where I live. Sent them off with a cheque that week but the cheques not been cashed as yet.

I remember sending for a Doctor Who set last year and they took an age to come.

It's enforced in a bizarre way in Waitrose.

I have registered to scan my own shopping at Waitrose - it saves a lot of time because you can bag up your shopping as you go round the store. To be able to do this you have to have an account card or credit card from John Lewis or Waitrose, so your age is in their system. There's never any hold-up buying alcohol, for example.

Today I was ready to pay when the check-out machine flashed up "seek assistance". Turns out it was because I was buying the Sunday Times, which had a DVD inside. So according to Waitrose, I'm old enough to buy alcohol but not to buy the Sunday Times. The DVD was a 15 certificate.

Have answered my own question. Gold is with the dreadful Mail on Sunday.

Entertaining film though and worth adding to your movie collection (you can always recycle the paper). If you watch the film look out for 6 year old Patsy Kensit at the christmas party (which goes with a bang).

I don't buy the NotW but looking at it in the newsagents today I don't see any sign of a free DVD in it. Perhaps they mean next Sunday.
