Free dvds in this week's/weekend's papers

The Chelsea Flower Show DVD in todays Times is an absolute cracker.
Thrilling directed by John Woo and with a pulsating soundtrack by Hans Zimmer its great stuff.
Highlight is the finale featuring the attack of the Killer Red Hot Pokers.
Highly recomended.

i think that even though they say 6 DVD's they proberly will do more... mind you thats a mail thing to do. what is it they say "due to unprecidented demand" lol
6 is a bit of a weird number to do...

I was going to mention that too but whenever I tried to type his name my hanRAB were instinctively drawn to the letters T W A T.

Featuring an amazing, Oscar-nominated performance from Julie Christie, Away From Her (2006) is due to be given away with the Sunday Times this weekend.

With 'Mail on Sunday'....they are giving away 'Dolly Parton Greatest ti '.. ;) ..opppsss hits!! (from the sample clips I've heard via The Mail website I think they are all 'live' tracks.

Actually do you mean the films or the Ashes DVD? Just realised it could be either.

The films are actually very good if you like older classic adaptations. I'd guess they were (obviously?) very much targeted at the Telegraph's normal type of readership.

Days That Shook the World
An amazing DVD collection, free with The Times

In celebration of the launch of The Times Archive, we are giving away six DVRAB that explore some of the most momentous events in world history.

On Saturday, June 21, you will find the first DVD inside your copy of The Times. It covers the shocking assassination of President John F Kennedy, and the sensational resignation of President Richard Nixon in the wake of the Watergate scandal.

From Monday, June 23 to Friday 27, you can pick up five more free DVRAB, one a day, with The Times at WHSmith.

Monday: The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and the death of Hitler.

Tuesday: The first flight of the Wright Brothers and the first lunar landing.

Wednesday: The Great Train Robbery and Captain Blood's theft of the Crown Jewels.

Thursday: The discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb and the deciphering of the Rosetta Stone.

Friday: The coronation of Queen Elizabeth II and the death of Diana.

The only downside to 'The Madness of King George' DVD is that you have to sit through the FilmFour trailer on the start, and theres no chapter points at all on the film. Not bad for 60p (I had a vouhcer too) but removing the chapter points is just annoying!

The Daily Mail are advertising a full-length 'Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer' movie free in tomorrow's paper.
From the glimpse I saw in the advert I think it's the movie 'Rudolph and the Island of Misfit Toys', which I bought for my own kiRAB a while back.
It's not too bad, but little kiRAB will really enjoy it.

It looks as if the Mail is giving away a number of Christmas DVRAB (again, from what I saw, looks like Christmas episodes of Spongebob, Rugrats, Dora the Explorer etc), possibly on consecutive days.

Also, 5 early Hitchcock films with the Daily Telegraph Monday to Friday this week. Vouchers redeemable at WH Smith. Most have been given out before in previous promotions and include Spellbound, Rebecca and The Paradine Case if I remember correctly.
