Free dvds in this week's/weekend's papers

The Sunday Telegraph has ''2 free AUDIO CRAB of Classic Movies starring the original stars''.

REBECCA (Laurence Olivier)

FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS (Ingrid Bergman)

In the forties, American Radio recreated current Movies for their listening audience starring some of the actual stars.

Free with the Daily Mail tomorrow (Saturday 28/09/07):

Barbara Taylor Bradford's 'A Woman Of Substance' (1984 mini-series starring Jenny Seagrove...I think!)

Could be the start of a collection, but no details yet.

Interesting trivia from IMDb:"Still - as at July 2007 - the highest ever rated programme on Channel 4 in the UK - peaking at 13.84 million viewers on the third night - 4th January 1985."

Is the "All Quiet on the Western Front" the 1930 film and not the 1979 TV film? The original is in my opinion one of the greatest films ever made.

Got Conan the destroyer in the sun on saturday which is a pretty good movie and also got Highlander in the news of the world which is a great film, both worth the price of a news paper :D

Just read this from another site. I don't have a local store to check its accuracy but for anyone who does it got to be worth a try:

I just bought today's Sun and was given all seven of this weeks horror DVRAB including Hellraiser II from tomorrow's News of the World. They seem to have boxes of DVRAB ready to give away to anyone buying The Sun.

Be interested if anyone can confirm this.

Anyone know if the wildlife DVD on the front of today's Express is in the paper or is a redeem job or a postal job.

A lot of the Express's stuff is postal and the front cover shot doesn't really give any clue.

Just this minute finished watching it.

I studied the book in high school about 8 years ago and as far as I can recall it was pretty accurate to it.

I thought it was quite enjoyable especially once it got going.

One thing annoyed me slightly was the sound seemed to go out of sync near the middle of the film. Anyone else have that problem or was it just me?

Yes I did also the Mail with Merlin but I havn't watched either as yet.

Was there something you wanted to know about the dvd ?
All I really know is its 105 minutes run time and 4:3 aspect ration.

Hello :)
Captain Corelli's Mandolin is an audio book cd, not the dvd.

They are some free childrens animated dvRAB this weekend but they look pretty rubbish.

The papers seem to be going for audio cRAB or language courses at the moment :(

This is more 'for the record' than anything else-I really must try and keep up-to-date with the latest freebies!-but Mike Leigh's High Hopes is free with The Guardian today.

You've still got time to dash to the newsagents!

(Also noticed a free dvd promotion in The Times)
