Free dvds in this week's/weekend's papers

Not got mine yet. Sun is very odd at DVRAB, sometimes its a couple of weeks and sometimes its 6 or 7 weeks. That goes for cashing the cheque too.

That's a pretty good movie collection the Mail are doing there are some darn fine performances and a couple of seldom seen movies in the list.

Some you already know

Saturday its
A Matter of Life and Death and The Heroes of Telemark

Sunday
The return from the River Kwai

Monday
Reach for the sky

After that the complete list is
In which we Serve
Aces High
Above us the Waves
Went the day well
The Battle of the River Plate
The life and death of Colonel Blimp
Escape to Athena
All quiet on the Western Front
Ill met by Moonlight
The long and the Short and the Tall
I was Monty's Double
Tunes of Glory

I know them all well having seen them over the years Its a pity they didnt do The Bridge on the river Kwai The Blue Max the Battle of Britain or The Battle of the Bulge.
Still its a good start maybe another collection later on to add to it.

In The Sun today until Saturday are free DVD's from Jamie Oliver: Jamie's Ministry of Food. Each DVD has a recipe card with it. Vouchers in each paper which can be exchanged at Sainsburys or WH Smith (or post vouchers for set and 7th bonus DVD).

I was unfortunate enough to sit down and start to watch my free copy last week. Switched off after an hour or so (kept thinking it would get better) as was losing the will to live. Its in the bin now.

Apparently they are giving away 20 episodes daily and will print details later how to claim the final 6 episodes.

Don't know what is happening for those collecting the tokens, whether its the same as usual or whether you will need to send off twice to get all of them? Anyone seen the details on that yet?

The Browning Version and Pygmalion were worth watching. The other ones I will watch, not too overkeen on them though. They are free and I wouldn't have bought these ones anyway apart from the ones that came with the paper last weekend
