does anyone know where I can buy this orginal datacable to Z500 (PCB429USE)? or will it work with other samsung orginal cable?

If LG3g USB cable is "Home made" we can use it for Z500.
Factory USB cable from LG3g is not valid for Z500 ! And You have risk damadged Your phone !!!

For Z500v freezed, I used LG3G dual flashing cable (usb+com) with only usb part and puting ( just when UMTS soft from "unlock easy" search for phone) a screw driver between pins 2 and 3 of PC com port.
This cable might be called "home made", unlock cable or whatever...it 's a LG3G modified cable.

So if i follow the steps from 1-4 the phone will unlock and will not play up? The speaker will be normal? Or do I need to adjust the settings?
 
I have tried the winimei 1.16 with Z500, it works perfect,but when I try to read teh settings on Z500V, it gives error on reading the MePersonalisation.
Anyone can help me in this case?

there is a program i unlocked my first z500 with by just using the usb cable, it read the code unlocked with with a *#prompting code, when i got my phone replaced after a loss, i used the code mentioned in this thread the subset code and it works spot on, takes any sim, no need to do the code again for other sims

cut a comportcable and coneckt red and ligth blue cables
 
The code method works perfectly for Z107V and Z300, I try it on this phone with no problem.

Why WINIMEI say at startup: Can`t open COM1 ! ?

CDMA phone on port 5. PC studio find phone and make backup media.
 
Have you tried using the "trick" with the codes instead of WinIMEI? Otherwise try and chose the Z105 T or U model to read settings. And last of all you could try to press UNLOCK even though it has trouble reading some setting. But of course there is a risk involved. But if the phone is new it can always be returned to a repair shop if things would go bad.

update: i read on another forum that Z500V's should work using this same method and WinIMEI version using UNLOCK.
