FREE complete unlock solution for Samsung SGH-Z500!

I need help. I can't unlock Z-500. I'm using a DB9 serial cable with a female to male connector, and have shorted the pins. I plug the cable to COM 1, and the Samsung CMDA Modem is on COM 4. Then I start WinIMEI, and I can't change USB COM port. Then I can't read settings or unlock using either Z-105, Z-105T or Z-105U.
 
Hi,

Trying to unlock my z500v with winime program, i get a message in the bottom left box saying : retry!! Check serial communication with phone.
Serial Com.-NG

I have tried shorting pin 2 & 3 by wrapping a little piece of wire around the pins. Am i being a complete idiot? Is there a knack to shorting these stupid pins or should i just put my PC and phone in the microwave! Any suggestions would be great

I will cite my earlier answer:

"I strongly recommend to just read the codes from the phone and enter them manually(i.e. not use the unlock function unless the phone is in "phone freeze")"

By this i mean if the phone is in phone freeze you HAVE to use UNLOCK. And then in your case i recommend that after you do UNLOCK and the phone is no longer in freeze. Read the codes again and then if there are still locks present deactivate them by entering the codes manually. And when all locks are lifted flash a complete new firmware to the phone to be sure that there are no damaged files in the flash.

the good solution is to use the data cable with special pinout using the soft , it will unlock the phone to all operator
 
Are all Samsung Z500v versions unlockable with these codes?

hi guys my problem is if i type the code into my handy the phone will "subset lock already exists!" wtf is the problem? please help! best regards
 
hi all i can't seem to change any ports or anything on win imei settings all features are in light grey only setting i can click on is check modem,, and serial port is stuck to port 2 and i cannot change is that correct??

I think you can't change the standard port in the program, the program on my computer used com2 and so i changed it to that port and it worked

Hi everyone.
I have a huge problem with my friends Z-500. He is using a Telia (Sweden) sim card. I promised him that I would unlock his phone, in return of an small amount of cash.

I started his phone, without a sim, and filled in the codes:

"
1- Enter code *7465625*28782# without a sim in the phone
2- Phone will display "Auto Subset Lock: Activated!"
3- Enter code *7465625*28638# without a sim again
3- Phone will display "Auto Network Lock: Activated!"
4- Now insert the sim and enjoy! Phone is Unlocked!
"

It all worked fine.
I shut down the Z-500 and inserted my sim: Halebop (Sweden).
The phone asked me to fill in my PIN. I typed my PIN and pressed OK.
It all worked fine. The phone was just a bit slow at first.
Then to make him convinced that it worked i borrowed one of my friends sim, wich also is Halebop. And it worked.
Then he said like this: "Ok, well it all seems to work properly. Tonight I'm going to order a new Halebop sim-card."

Here comes the problem:

He inserted his Telia-sim and started the phone. After using the phone in about 15 seconds the phone hangs up. What would I call it, it freezes. Theres nothing I can do. Not push a button or anything.
He said: "Well this happens sometimes, but it's kind of rare."
He took out his battery (he couldn't turn the phone off the correct way because the phone has freezed) and put it in again.
After about 15 seconds the same **** happens again, and again, and again, and again.

Someone very kind who has an solution to this?
He is pretty angry at me, and I'm feeling pretty bad about it.
I destroyed his phone.

I've tried to put the locks back to original but it doesn't work.

I've tried to use another sim.

I've tried to use IMEI (and all those steps that refeer45 described)

A thing I haven't tried is to flash the firmware. Beacuse I don't know how to do it.

There is a new WinIMEI that is actually for Z500, Z300 and other Z models(Qualcomm based) posted by BB-GSM in another thread(so creds to him for this one). Here is a mirror for the file:
