Fox Ends "Sit Down, Shut Up".

Didn't that show only air about five episodes or so?
I watched a couple episodes, and it wasn't bad. :/

I wonder where it'll go now. Adult Swim?
 
I’m not sure if the series was a victim of high expectations or if it really was as bad as it seemed, but either way, the series left a bad taste in people’s mouths. Even the fan who started the Sit Down, Shut Up Blog was severely disappointed and apparently gave up on the Blog after watching two episodes. It’s never a good sign when that happens.
 
I saw the first 4 episodes of Sit Down, Shut Up. It was an OK show, but not a great show. There were some funny lines here and there, and I enjoyed the fan service that the character of Miracle provided, but beyond that, it was mostly average.
 
Okay, seriously, how many animated shows are golden in their first season? Look back at The Simpsons, King of the Hill, and Futurama. If you were to judge those shows based on their first few episodes, you probably would've never watched them.

And, yes, I am blaming Fox for not sticking with it. Look, their ratings are already in the toilet and they've already spent good money on those nine episodes of SDSU. So because those ratings slip up in the first two episodes, you cancel the show and pray that reruns of The Simpsons and American Dad will make up for it. The bottom line is that Fox isn't willing to try new stuff in their Sunday slot unless it was touched by Seth MacFarlane. And that's not going to last forever.

I will seriously be laughing hard at Fox if The Clevland Show tanks considering they've already ordered a second season before it airs.
 
Seconded. I admit the episodes that I saw weren't great (there were some funny moments, however the format and the characters were all over the road), but the show was show was just starting out; did FOX really expect Sit Down, Shut Up to achieve Family Guy-sized ratings in just 3 weeks? Not even Family Guy caught on that quickly; the show had to be canceled, then released on DVD and reran on [adult swim] and then resurrected by the network before it got the following that it has now. Less than a month is hardly sufficient time for a series to find its' legs.
 
I think Fox jumped the gun here. The show had pretty decent comedy, but as previous said, it was all over the place. They probably could've done better with a seconds season. When I compare these episode to the first season of The Simpsons, they're about the same. Sort of.
 
I pretty much knew the show will get the boot sooner or later. Though, I won't find the show bad as Slacker Cats (IMO), but I felt like this show was trying to hard with the humor.
 
They were already completed since those episodes had to have been done since it was part of the season 1 episode order. FOX is just choosing not to air them. I can't say I'll miss the show at all. It did not look like it had more potential to be better even with additional seasons.
 
Wow what only three episodes aired and they got rid of it thats sad I knew the show would fail to meet the insane expectations of the network but damn thats pretty soon to give up on a show. I got a feeling they probraly weren't really sure about this show from the get go.

Fox should have just spent the money wisely and OKed a new Futurama seasone.

Meh, I didn't expect this show to last long, so I'm really not surprised. The problem is more of that the audience that FOX is targeting towards isn't interested in a show like SDSU, and even I didn't feel the least bit interested in the show when it first was announced.

I will say though that it is a bit too soon for FOX to have given up on it, but yet I don't see the show going anywhere anyway.
