Forgotten Animated Films

Hey I just remembared another forgotten Animated Film! "The Flight Of Dragons"! Awesome Film IMO:cool:.

Watched it on Youtube 2 years ago but after searching for it again just now, it's unfornately been removed now I'm afraid:(. Such a shame really.

Can't believe it's still not released on DVD:mad:!

I love an American Tail! It was on Channel 4 at Xmas, so we watched it there, and when we got back home it was on again over the weekend on S4C so we sat through it again!

I always loved Dot & The Kangaroo - only part animated - all the backgrounRAB were real. Anyone else remember it? The Bunyip Song used to scare the bejeezus outta me!

That's quite surprising actually because they (Television) rarely do show that type of stuff now which is a real shame:(. I'm glad you enjoyed rewatching it again though LadyFluff:).

And yeah I remember the "Dot" Cartoons too, there were quite a lot of them if I remember correctly.

Haven't seen it I'm afraid but I'll be looking out for that one too now:p:D! (My God I'm sure getting greedy:o).

I used to have it on VHS too but as you know VHS' sadly don't last very long so now I no longer have it:(.

Thanks for the Links BTW purplelinus:). If any of those DVRAB have good quality in them then I may consider buying them:);don't want to buy a DVD that's just going to have a rubbish quality.

Now if there is one thing I do know, "The Last Unicorn" is definately on DVD. Can't wait to buy this yet another undeserverd forgotten Animated Classic:D.

I think "The Last Unicorn" is also from the creators of "The Flight Of Dragons"? Not really sure can anyone confirm this for me please:confused:?

Oh that's a shame:(. I really do hope it does come on DVD evantually. So underrated IMO.

Does anyone also remember Jan Svankmajer's "Alice" BTW? VERY disturbing version of "Alice In Wonderland".

I hardly know any of the films mentioned on this thread. One film I loved and still do, because I find the story very sad is 'The Plague Dogs'.
A Richard Adams film, if you liked Watership Down.

You're welcome L_Planet_Airman:). And you're right, Youtube is a wonderful website. Where will we be without it eh:cool:?

Why is it scary? If it is then I'm definately going to watch that. I LOVE scary Animated Films:D!

Well, this Thread is called "Forgotten Animated Films" for a reason:p:D!

P.S. I LOVED "Watership Down":).

WOW! What a list! Looks like you've done you're homework here:D.

Some Films on there I definately remember some I don't. Some I haven't seen but am planning on seeing (I really want to see "The Great Mouse Detective") in the future and some I will simply rufuse to see. ("Pinocchio In Outer Space"? Seriously what the hell were they on:rolleyes:?!)

This was the film that sprung to mind when I saw this thread title. I LOVE this film. A friend of mine had this on video and I borroed it and 'forgot' to give it back although she remembered and asked me for it. I was devastated! It used to be on BBC all the time but I understand that there are no plans either to show it there or for a release of it on DVD. It was made by the same people that made Thundercats though and they are currently releasing those series on DVD so maybe they'll get round to this eventually.

This is also a great film and I believe they are making a live action version with Angela Lansbury reprising her role as the witch who imprisons the unicorn.

Hmmmmmm? Seeing that Clip I admit, it really doesn't look as bad as I thought it'll be so my bad there.

But you got to admit though, "Pinocchio In Outer Space" is a pretty dumb title:D.

BTW the Alien in that Clip, it's the same guy who voiced Top Cat:D!
