I am so jealous of Russell Brand here. Might go and watch some Veronica Mars.

I have to say this was a lot less funny that it should have been, probably about five genuinely funny laugh out loud moments, but far too many gags that just weren't funny.

Brand was actually puite good I thought, though not really having to stretch himself, he was quite obviously allowed to ad-lib a lot and it worked very well I thought, Jonah Hill was brilliant as ever, can't wait to see those two together.

THe film was helped, for me, by the presence of Kristen Bell and Mila Kunis both not wearing much a lot of the time **droooooooooolllls**

I still find myself agreeing with Mark Kermode though, the Judd Apatow model of slobby bloke getting together with ludicrously georgeous girl (or two in this case) is getting a little tired for me.

Saw this film for the second time tonight and enjoyed it even more than the first time.

I'm a big fan of Russell so obviously enjoyed his role and he really does deliver some of his lines brilliantly. There was even a round of applause from one section of the cinema after one of his one liners :D

I liked all the main characters and the way they interacted together.

and as for Russell getting his big break in Hollywood - he has the same agent as Adam Sandler. It also helps that he's an incredibly talented, very funny, genuine person :)

its marketing. the posters and publicity are marketed especially for the country releasing the film. Most people in England are aware of Russell Brand so its his face on the publicity. IN America, its JAson Segal

I watched this the other night. It was everything I expected and a little bit more.

Excellent writing by Segel. I’m very impressed. However, I don’t think I can ever look at him in the same light again... Heh. ;)

I enjoyed bits of it, but some parts of the storyline were a bit messy.

I enjoyed the hell out of Russell Brand. I was a fan before the movie came out, but it was good to see him in a proper Hollywood movie. I think he absolutely stole the scenes he was in.

AfterwarRAB my frienRAB were asking "who was that English guy?" We've been exchanging YouTube links since. I think he'll do very well for himself here in America.
