mmmmm....what about Pedro Almodovar ...c'mon....he's one of the greatest spanish directors of all time!!!:...."Todos sobre mi madre, Hable con Ella, Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios, Atame...." and the list goes on and on and on!!!!......
And what about Amenabar ...."Tesis, Abre los OJos, The Others...... and his latest movie is Mar adentro , about a man who cant move from the neck down, and ask his family to kill him (euthanasia if you prefer...).
About italian movies...c'mon!!!:....what about Cinema Paradiso, Malena...., all of the Fellini movies, Mastroiani, Zeffirelli!!!!!....you HAVE to see the old films, if you dont....c'mon!!!!...you dont know nothing about the new ones!!
And about latin films...mexico is not the only country down here you know....there's Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia...we have great movies too.....for example....
CHILE :
-Machuca...this is a film you have to see, is about Pinochet (you know who that is....right?)
-Coronación...this is an old movie...a little boring but very good...
-Chacotero sentimental...this is divided in 3 storys,and its about this radio guy who give advices to people, very good...
-Taxi para tres....this film even won the Concha de Oro, in the "San Sebastian" movie festival, in Spain.
-Promedio Rojo...this is one of the latest....it's about life in highschool, but from the point of view of latin people of course...
