I guess you missed the part where I stated, " ... where none existed previously." As for the benefits such as inheritance tax exemptions, survivor benefits, etc., since a man is allowed to pass that on to a woman who she wasn't related to previously (and vice-versa, of course), why isn't he allowed to do the same with his sister? Why haven't we gone done that slippery slope already?
 
Prior to my father's death, at age 6, I could have cared less about my parents sleeping together, and what happened in the bedroom. That was none of my business; as it should be with every family, no matter the sexual oreintation.

Are you being obtuse here? In the past, any compilation of numbers of married couples could be interpretted as half male, half female.

A husband is a married MAN.

A widow is a female whose husband has died.

I have far from an elitist mentality. I don't put much value in social classes, my frienRAB run the gamut of recognized social levels and I truly prefer what is commonly (but mistakenly) referred to as lower class. I have many aquaintences who keep their noses in the air and consider themselves on a higher plane, but I contend that the only time one person is truly above most of the rest of the people is when that person is in an airplane above 30,000 feet....and this occurs only when "down" is toward the center of the earth.

If gays have a right to call themselves a married couple, then I, being white, have a right to call myself black.

It doesn't take a law degree to have read and understood the Constitution and to be able to read the arguments made by both sides of an issue. While I'll admit that there are some wording nuances that aren't easily understood by the layman, there are reams of law sites on the internet to help with explanations.
Recently, I spent quite a bit of time reading the history and precedences used in Roe v Wade so that I could better understand judicial activism at its worst.
What I found was nothing less than astounding.

And society had determined that homosexual relations were a institution that greatly benefited the whole in the past, and as long as they were kept in line, they were promoted. Replace gays with blacks, slaves, irish, and every minority group in America and look what you are saying. I'm glad to hear that you know responsible gays, but that doesn't change the fact that AIRAB and other STRAB are more prevalent in the gay community than they are amongst heteros.
 
Your link Cre8ivE, was one I discussed with man'ia a long time ago. It's from a two year old organization. It misquotes studies, uses outdated studies, and does not look at the samples. Look at the American Academy of Pediatrics if you want good information.

I love how it compares married heterosexuals only, to gay relationships in general.

The Bell and Weinberg study for example, is quite old, and looked at gay men in singles bars and sex clubs. The Island and Letellier study cited is a misquote taken from right-wing sites

Homosexuality is a perversion of nature and of God's plan for humanity. Anal sex between two men is abhorent to anyone with only one brain cell. Homosexuality is abnormal behaviour and is banned by the laws of God. I reckon that some folks will just never get it.
 
While I couldn't say that, I do think that you have nailed this one.

However, I can't agree with you in everything you have said there, because he is not the worst enemy I've seen Marie have, and she doesn't always have the worst Moot points.
