For or Against Gay Marriage

My Girlfriend was brought up as a Catholic, and I asked her before I posted. She said that most alter attendants are male.(She said not to post alter boys but I posted it anyway)

But if you re-read my post you quoted you will notice that I typed most.

Also if you look at the time frame for most of the abuses by Priests you would realise it was at a time when there where even less females that took on those roles in RCC.

Society has determined that heterosexual marriage was an institution that was worth giving incentives to promote. The same can't be said about gay marriages if the majority of Americans are against them.
If that's not the case and the majority of Americans want to promote changing marriage to include gay marriages then I say "fine", let's put it to a vote. But gays don't want a national referendum because they know that they'd lose, so they try to coerce liberal politicians and judges to circumvent the law.
 
 
So it's better to spend our taxes supporting unwed mothers who have 6 children from 4 men, none of whom they have ever been married to? And it's OK to subsidize this "lifestyle" because, hey, at least it's heterosexual sex thats draining the money. ? I too have a number of gay frienRAB. And to see these upstanding, productive, loving, caring and compassionate members of the community treated as second class citizens based wholly on their sexual preference makes me just shake my head and wonder about the meaning of the word "freedom".
 
Increased religous control over state bodies should be the goal of all conscientius citizens - look at the blissful utopia of Iran, or maybe afghanistan.

Alright, so you got something right for once. Congradulations, he does however, Republican Mitt Romney opposes civil unions, but supports domestic partnership laws that would give gay couples access to health benefits and survivorship rights.

The rewarRAB of such an arrangement don't outwiegh the consequence. If people were getting married just to get health issurance. 1) They could do that now. My partner is on my health issurance. 2) They would need a divorce when they want to dissolve this arrangement. What two rrommates are willing to pay the money for a divorce just to have health issurance. If two people are rrommates and willing to go that far for each other? They are more that roommates
 
Not that I mind very much, but some of you guys are beginning to sound like a small group of numbnuts on another forum I visit. Their incessant bashing and namecalling got them ALL banned!

I'm certainly not lilly-white in this regard, but I'm aware of my attitude and responses a lot more than when I first started posting here. I'm entertained somewhat by the bickering, but it does not lead to resolution of issues or expansion of useful knowledge.

I don't know where your from becasue you hide it but the USA is over 90 percent Jewish or Christian Therefore its a believer in God........

There is a separation of Church and state in this country but make no mistake about it this country was founded on Christian values.......
