For educated, intelligent Christians: do educated, intelligent, honest

If you're educated and intelligent you know that almost all understanding outside mathematics is subject to revision, and that distinguishing a 'fact' from an 'extremely likely hypothesis' is no trivial matter.

This argument is just an atheist version of the 'Evolution is only a Theory' nonsense; and is as misguided, stupid, and contemptible as that other.

Who are you to declare that the spiritual experience of others are some how "unreal" and therefore a lie?

Based upon the fact that you have not experienced it for yourself?

I don't generally witness, but I'll answer if asked.

I think you are confusing what you know to be true with what others know to be true.

Some very intelligent people know that their beliefs are facts. Tear out your hair and romp and stomp all you want, they know they are right and they know you are wrong.

I really recommend you find some way of dealing with this hostility before it eats you alive. Being hostile has absolutely no effect whatsoever on the object of your hatred, but it is poisoning you daily.

Some people would rather be right than happy.
It's a choice.

Your move.

Christians ever 'witness' to strangers? If you're educated and intelligent, you know your beliefs are mere beliefs, not facts.

The activity of "witnessing", whether online or in person, consists of claiming religious beliefs are facts.

As far as I can tell, to perform it, one would need to be either uneducated or unintelligent, or dishonest.

Does it bother you that to spread your religion, your fellow believers systematically lie to people, whether or not they realize it?
