14 year olds should kick 30 yard kicks at least. i use to place kick and when i was 15 i kicked my longest kick was from about the 30 yard line plus the extra 15 yards to the goal so it was about 45 yards for me at 15. i never tried punting though i sucked at that

in my rgion, lots of kids can easily kick about forty yards
but if you can aim and kick at the same time, then it can make up for your weak kick because accuray is more important than power
as some of you may not know i am a 14 year old guy who loves football and I played for my home team the raiders, and then I quit:S But I am playing a gain next year in August and I would like to be the kicker/punter.Do you guys think for a 14 year old guy 25-30 yards is a good kick???Btw im practicing everyday and hopefully by August ill be able to kick 40 yards....so what do you guys think, is 25-30 yards a good kicking distance for my age????
i play for my high school u need to kick farther then that cuz my kicker on third string is as good as u so if u want to be first string kick like 45-50 yards kicked.
Ok dude i am 13 and i have been/was training for kicker/punter over summer! when i started off i couldn't even hit a 20. the farthest i ever hit a field goal (off the ground) was 41 yards. 25-30 is pretty good for you. do a lot of leg excersises to get your legs stronger for distance but the most important thing i have to tell you is:
DO NOT PRACTICE EVERY DAY WITHOUT STRETCHING FOR AT LEAST 20 MINUTES! I USED TO PRACTICE EVERYDAY! when i started off i strained my hip flexor ON MY KICKING LEG! i couldn't kick for a month.... it sucked. practice tues wed and sunday ( sunday is optional) monday wed and fri workout and relax. NO KICKING ON MONDAY WED AND FRIDAY!!!!
