I'm looking forward to this because of the outcome of The Cleveland Show

Scanned it. Not going to cheese myself off by reading the whole thing.

But I will say this...I'm really sick and tired of people going right to MacFarlane and attacking him personally for everything "wrong" with the show. He IS the producer, but he doesn't write it or direct it. He doesn't animate it either. He has a whole crew who is responsible for all the various aspects of the show. This above linked article over and over again points to "Seth's writing" this and "Seth's writing" that. It's so easy to attack this show if you're willingly allowing yourself to be ignorant, isn't it?

G-A-A-A-A-A-HHHHHH!!!

I thought if he was allowed to make four cartoons at once, he'd start getting a little more creative. I mean, even he would have to start getting tired of the same formula after a while. Right?

They've finally given him enough rope. Seth is gonna hang himself.

Well, he is under contract. It's not like he can easily leave FOX to pitch elsewhere. If they ask for another show, he makes it. If they want something specific, he suits their needs.
And I can understand why he would give in. He's the highest paid writer in television!

Well many have guessed it will turn into another family guy like cartoon like the last 2 but still they would've come up with something different.

FOX made him. I'm sure if they really wanted to they could break him too. And like it's been said, the last time MacFarlane went outside the box the resulting show was a colossal failure. FOX has never been kind to any animated show that wasn't a domestic family sitcom. It didn't start with Seth. And I'm sure the success of The Cleveland Show has FOX convinced it's just best to stay the course.

So basically with this, it comes down to them either booting The Simpsons off Sundays nights (a la Married With Children) or cancelling American Dad.

If FOX does the latter, then Animation Domination will be the modern-day equivalent of those 1970's Saturday morning blocks where the latest Hanna-Barbera Scooby Doo clone was replaced with another in short order.

Again, so any FG writer that bothers Seth enough will get their own show?

Once again, point taken. But even so, I question whether FOX really has a legitamite reason for clinging to the family format. I mean Aqua Teen Hunger Force is a successful cartoons which really is different from the Fox Cartoons. Futurama has done better during it's stay on Adult Swim and does well on Comedy Central.

Heck to my knowledge Spongebob Squarepants while a children's cartoon has an impressive number of adult fans, and the cartoon itself is more like something you'd see in a Disney/Warner Bros/Hanna Barbera short.

Another family show?

While I love The Cleveland Show and American Dad I wish Seth would try something different.

The fact that it's yet another family sitcom doesn't exactly fill me with glee, but everyone doubted "American Dad" at first, and it certainly exceeded my expectations. And putting the focus on a female character this time could be interesting too. I'll have to keep an eye on this one.

I'm glad Gary Janetti's involved (he wrote some of the best pre-cancellation FG episodes, as well as part of The Untold Story), but the premise doesn't exactly enthrall me, especially since it's supposed to be a lot like Family Guy. Which also means it will likely have the exact same art style. Sigh... goodbye, variety.

MacFarlane should just forget about a fourth show instead of sticking to this repetitive formula.

I guess it's all about the green.

Fox kicking off The Simpsons would be like DC Comics canceling Superman. I just can't see it. Can you imagine the uproar that would ensue? It's too popular for that kind of shoddy treatment. American Dad has had a pretty substantial run. It wouldn't be a terrible thing for it to end soon.

I'd like to believe that the pets won't talk, but I should probably know better than that.

My opinion in a nutshell. This isn't getting old, it's already there. It's annoying that Fox seemingly intends to wear out Seth's material down past the breaking point before it bothers with anything fresh again.

I'm starting to wonder if its Seth's idea to constantly make family sitcoms, or its the suits that are making him do it. Keep in mind that the most successful cartoons on Animation Domination are family shows.

What I really don't like is that they'll be using the same art style. I don't hate the designs (though the animation leaves a lot to be desired), but I don't want to see it in four shows.

I like how the lead will be female, though.
