Finally N73 is added to NSU

Angel_wing...when you do a *#0000#, what is the number in brackets after the N73?

The reason why you are not getting the upgrade is because of your phone localization setting.

Mine is 02, which is the Euro_2. It can be that Nokia has not released the firmware for your localization that your phone is set to.

The easiest way to get around that is to change the Product ID of your phone, which will tell NSU that your phone is a different localization and then it will upgrade it. Of coarse if your phone has a APAC firmware now and you wan to keep the APAC firwmware, then changing the ID won't help you.

Normally, Nokia will release Euro flashes first before the APAC ones.

Are you sure? From what I've read on here and on another forum, you can use NSS to change the product code and then use NSU to update to the current firmware.

I thought you can flash to the current f/w with either Phoenix or Diego if you have the f/w exe. file.

Changed the product code, and its now powering up. Gone from 2.0628.0.0.3 to 3.0638.0.0.1.

At the very least its got rid of the irritating Orange home screen.

I had a really hard time updating my N73 and I searched and asked for help. I was finally able to change the product code and update to the new firmware thanks to papadocta. He was very patient and gave detailed instructions. This is what the forum is about. I also want to thank amir_at2020 for sending me the missing app I needed.

If anyone needs help, I'll be more than happy to send you instructions too.

You mistake me for someone else. I am a far better expert in symbian than you , be sure of that. Thats y I dont like when they dont work as they are supposed to. As for me being critical about nokia on the forums that u dream of at night, u couldnt be more wrong: I never do what U u imply, and I always offer solutions when I know them. So please pick on someone else, and be sure most of the N73 owners are as dissappointed as I am with the new firmware.
