Films you didnt get round to seeing!

I've never sat through a whole Bond movie (but then I never intend to).

The films I always mean to get round to watching are the Godfather films and The Shawshank Redemption.

I have 'Trainspotting' and 'Pans Labyrinth' in my collection, but haven't got round to watching them yet.... might do so today!

Also I haven't seen any Bond films right through... I can never get into them. Or any of the animated disney films (apart from The Nightmare Before Christmas of course!)

I also have never seen 'The Godfather', even though I've had plenty of oppertunities.

awe my g's, youve got to get round to watching both trainspotting and especially pans labyrinth! such a underated film just because its spanish, but you'll be surprised at how good it is!

It's not unnecessary at all. The point of the first hour is to reinforce the fact that these are ordinary working men from a nowhere town who are thrown into a situation that is completely horrific and "unreal".
There's also the important scene where the bride & groom drink from the cups, and if a drop is spilled it signals bad luck. And look what happened to the poor chap :(
Plus the whole point of the hunting scene is to show that life is cheap for these guys, particularly DeNiro's character, but towarRAB the end of the movie after all the horror they endure when they go hunting again we're shown they are changed men, and life is most definately not cheap to them anymore.

I have the recent release of The Godfather trilogy in the steelbook which replaced the original release I bought a few years back, but I haven't got round to watching it yet. It's amazing how many people say that they haven't seen The Godfather. I did start watching it a few months ago, but I found the first speech by Marlon Brando quite quiet and incomprehensible. The new release has better sound and picture so I will definitely get around to watching it this week. Perhaps I wasn't in the right mood at the time, or I just need to change the sound levels on my surround system

I've seen a lot of the films mentioned elsewhere apart from Dirty Dancing and Grease (not really my thing) and The Sound Of Music (I do have and watch a lot of musicals but I prefer the Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby and Gene Kelly ones, although I do like West Side Story of the later ones)

I will never watch a Harry Potter film as these do not appeal to me in the slightest. As for The Deer Hunter, I do love the film but felt a bit unsure about the beginning of it, so perhaps I will have to watch this again

Finally, Citizen Kane is a classic, but who doesn't think of the Simpsons episode, where Mr Burns lost his teddy bear when they watch it

The deer hunter ive got but just cant get past the 1st hour, always end up falling asleep! then as for the potter films watched 10 mins of the 1st potter film that was it! The Godfather well heres one for ye, as just watching it for the 1st time around 5yr ago i liked the 3rd godfather the best to everyones disgust! lol

I just thought I would update you

After putting it off for so very long, I have finally just finished watching The Godfather

It's only taken my until nearly my 30th Birthday

I am so glad I watched it, now I just have parts 2+3 to watch as well

Then onto the other films I have got which are classics that I haven't seen yet, which is not actually a huge amount

I thought I was the only person lucky enough to have avoided Star Wars! There are so many "classic" films I've never seen I can't list them all, but haven't watched ANY of the following:

Godfather
Star Wars
LOTR
James Bond
Harry Potter
Any Superman/Batman/Spiderman et al

What really bugs me is when people assume that everyone has seen these films. When they come up in the general knowledge section of a quiz for example.

Casablanca
Bond movies from mid 80s onwarRAB
Chicago - Richard Gere dancing and singing, *shudder*
Jurassic Park
HPotter movies III and up
Spiderman II and III
All the Lethal Weapon movies

... seriously over-rated movie!

Ive never got round to seeing Top Gun- not my cup of tea tbh so I think Ill remain unenlightened about that one...
